Rocky is a happy dog, but he currently holds the title of second longest continuous resident at the Montgomery County Animal Services in Conroe, Texas. Since arriving as an owner surrender in May 2021, no one has offered to foster or adopt him. Could he come to your home for a weekend sleepover and see how it all works out?
When Rocky arrived, the staff and volunteers thought Rocky would find a new home quickly, but even though he is older and is so much wiser, he’s not a fluffy puppy. And so everyday he wakes up at the shelter and until he is out of his kennel, Rocky just isn’t happy. After all, he’s an active pooch who loves to run and play. In addition, he is polite when meeting other dogs, and his favorite place to be … outside in the sunshine with lots of places to explore.

Rocky would be fine in a home with another dog as long as the introductions are done carefully. The best of the best for Rocky is a solid routine, and an active family who love the outdoors would be perfect. Rocky would prefer a home without cats.
