At the Baltimore County Animal Services, a mega-adopt-a-thon on Saturday didn’t work for a few dogs, and Panama was one of the unlucky pups.
One can only imagine Panama’s sadness as he watched all the other dogs around him being fussed over, leashed and then led away to their new homes – tails happily wagging. So everyone, can we make it Panama’s turn now to find his forever family?
Let’s begin with what we know about this adorable boy with the speckles and that big meaty head:
The shelter staff tell us Panama is very “energetic and extremely enthusiastic” when he leaves his kennel cage. (Can you blame him?) At the adoption event, he settled in very quickly, and was not reactive to any dogs walking by him. Instead he greeted nearby dogs politely and respectfully.
There isn’t much history on Panama since he was found as a stray.
Of course, this enthusiastic two-year-old pooch could use a bit of canine citizen training because he does tend to jump when he gets excited. Panama would probably do best in a home with no small children – don’t want to take a chance he could knock a little one over with his playfulness.
There are no fees to adopt Panama, and if there is another dog in the home, it is mandatory to them meeting each other prior to adoption. Even worse than a pup not getting adopted, is for that dog to be returned and placed back in his kennel for absolutely no fault of his own.
Come meet this boy at the Baltimore County Animal Services. The shelter is located at 13800 Manor Road
Baldwin, Maryland 21013.
