In Fort Worth, Texas, a dog frozen in fear and afraid to move was spotted lying in the middle of the freeway this week. No one knows how she survived or how she got there, but the important part is that she was rescued; someone became her voice and reached out to the Abandoned Ones Saving Animals in Danger.
No more than five-years-old, overbred and with no front teeth – likely worn away from trying to chew her way out of her crate, she was full of fleas. No one was surprised she was heartworm positive as she was also covered in fleas and ticks.
The rescue organization has named her Fiona, and after she was reported to the Fort Worth Animal Shelter (no microchip), she has become part of the Abandoned Ones Saving Animals in Danger family.
Her life will be better from here on out !! She will no longer have to worry about having litter after litter after litter
