Just one week ago, at the Richmond Animal Care and Control in Virginia, the staff arrived and found a sweet, suffering dog had been abandoned outside of the director’s office window. The dog could not stand, was freezing cold, emaciated and had dirt just pouring out of his mouth.
He was rushed to the Virginia Veterinarian Centers where veterinarians and staff administered life-saving treatment to raise his body temperature and blood pressure. Fortunately, the dog dubbed Olympus has been doing very well, and was spotted on Sunday soaking up the sun with what appears to be a smile on his face.
Today, Olympus is being released from the veterinarian hospital to the Richmond Animal Care and Control, where his treatment will be continued. He is still recovering, and we will be checking back on him soon.
Such a happy day – thank you for loving RACC.
