Hearts broke for a senior stray who was hungry. Found at a truck stop, Mick went from truck to truck begging for food. So many people rejected his pleas and so many people turned their backs on him; he was shunned by the bystanders and left in the cold of the Detroit winter nights.
And then came a Good Samaritan – many thanks to the trucker with the biggest heart who allowed Mick to jump into his truck to stay warm and get some food. That’s when Detroit Dog Rescue was called, and volunteers immediately stepped up to help.
Mick was transported to Union Lake Veterinary Hospital where he was examined and released back to the rescue organization. Now this ten-year-old shepherd/Lab/pointer mixture of sweetness needs a foster home or better yet – a family who wants to adopt him. Please share his story with friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives and finds loving homes.
If you can open your home and heart to Mick please fill out a foster application at DetroitDogRescue.com.
When asked what Mick seems to love, this was his list:
Calm walks, Chicken McNuggets, Ear and butt rubs, Soft beds and Snuggly Couches, Disney Plus
