In Vineland, New Jersey, a blatant act of animal cruelty occurred on Monday to a tiny, terrified chihuahua. A man walking his own dog along Christel Avenue, noticed a bag on the ground when his dog reacted to it. The man saw the bag move and heard noise inside of it. Not knowing what was in the bag, but not willing to leave it behind, the Good Samaritan brought the bag to the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter.
Inside of the bag was a female chihuahua; both the dog and the bag that held her captive were soaked with urine. The dog, dubbed Coco, was visibly shaken and lucky to be alive. At her veterinary examination, Coco had not suffered any traumatic injuries, but is underweight and when found – dehydrated.
This horrific act of cruelty has been reported to the Vineland Police Department. If you recognize Coco or have information regarding who may be responsible for the horrendous act, please contact them immediately. 856-691-4111
