It’s called “play sneezing” when dogs are excited and happy, and that’s exactly what a quirky senior pup does to garner attention at the Humane Society Naples whenever she spots someone passing by her kennel. And as if that isn’t adorable enough, this senior lady adds a smile to her repertoire by lifting her upper lip.
Lucy is 14-years-old and maintains a youthful spirit. Recently she was returned to the shelter after her owner passed away. Still, Lucy looks forward to swimming in the pool or a day at the beach. She adores being with people and would rather be with human friends than other dogs.
If you’re looking for a loving, joyful companion, Lucy is ready to make your home her forever haven. She’s smart, funny, loves treats, and is willing to sit for them. She knows several commands but likes to play hard to get when showing off her skills. While she is choosy about her doggie friends at the shelter, she could possibly go home with a well-matched doggie sibling. Her favorite activities are sleeping and going on relaxed walks.

All of the canines are spayed or neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, receive monthly parasite prevention, and the organization offers free behavior support for the lifetime of your pet. They also include a free collar and leash in your adoption package.
Lucy is a member of the Senior Dog Care Club. This means you’ll receive a $500 credit to use at the clinic for goods and services to help keep her healthy.
