The heartbreaking photo of a 14-year-old neglected dog arriving at the Miami-Dade Animal Services brings tears as well as outrage to the rescue community. The photo shows the dog dubbed “Reaper” by the shelter, half covered with a black trash bag; the nails on his paws horribly overgrown.
I have seen many images over the years but this is heartbreaking. Old ID number so they know who adopted this dog, yet of course it’s a stray. In a trash bag with nails that are inches long. …how do people let this happen. REAPER that’s the name they gave him. How are we supposed to as rescues keep up when Miami residents continue to do this to their dogs? I am disgusted and now on a mission.
