Ariel and Ursula were found on the streets all by themselves; tiny and defenseless and no owner anywhere. Neither dog had been microchipped and neither one wore a collar. What are the chances they were lost or did someone just abandon them?
Ariel is the pregnant pup who went into labor on Sunday night, but wasn’t able to deliver her puppies. She is also heartworm positive and has a heart murmur and had been vomiting. Worried about the mom and the puppies, the foster parent rushed Ariel to the veterinarian on Monday morning for an emergency C-section. Seven puppies have been delivered, and they are being stimulated now.
They also advised that an emergency spay was recommended due to the size of her uterus. We’re happy she was rescued off the streets so she didn’t have to go through this alone and we’re happy she was rushed into the vet this morning – things definitely could have been worse for this little momma.

Tiny Ursula is only six to eight months of age and her huge ears all but make her irresistible. Both she and Ariel have great dispositions. Luckily, foster homes were found for the dogs which help to save lives.
Please keep her and her puppies in your thoughts.
