The Carson Shelter would like to ask for assistance in regards to Roscoe a dog that is in our facility. Roscoe has been at the Carson shelter since February 23,2022 and his medical condition (URI) has been an area of concern.
Describing how the home was lost and the dogs’ current demeanor:
ROSCOE is very special and this sweet boy his sister JORDIN were left at the Shelter when their owner moved. The owner said they have spent their lives together, are housebroken and good on a leash and have lived Inside the home.. and now they are feeling pretty down after losing everything.
Full assessment:
Assessment Roscoe was at the front of the kennel sitting when the runner approached. He had soft eyes, neutral ears, body and tail were soft, but not moving and had a closed mouth as the runner opened the kennel door. He was easy to leash and once he had the leash on, he walked out on his own. He walked next to the runner without any pull and bypassed the dogs in the kennels. He made it to the catch pen without any issue and was easy to collar. He briefly greeted the dogs with a neutral demeanor and would not show any concerning behavior, so he was let into the play yard. He allowed the dogs to greet him and walked away to explore the yard. He walks away from them when they linger around him. He tolerated the dogs in the yard and sat in a corner of the yard after he was done exploring for the day.
His play style is Gentle/ Dainty and is Tolerant of large dogs. He is recommended to go to a home with middle school aged kids or older and is recommended to go to a home with calm large dogs.
Roscoe had a home and his life was good – now he is may be put down, through no fault of his own. Please help network Roscoe’s adoption information before he is lost forever.
