A cat is recovering from mental and physical harm after someone abandoned him in a cold, watery ditch. According to Ontario’s Guelph Humane Society, the orange tabby, dubbed Kingo, was rescued on Thursday.
The animal welfare agency described the cruel incident, writing:
He was found abandoned in his carrier late Thursday, in a ditch full of water near Whitelaw and Fife in Guelph. Luckily someone saw him, or he very likely would have died that night. He was wet and freezing cold.
Despite Kingo’s trauma, is remains sweet and affectionate. Now, the animal shelter is hoping to find out who is responsible for abandoning him in the ditch. They write:
The province (Provincial Animal Welfare Services) can’t conduct an investigation without any information. Do you have any? If you know this cat, or saw anything, please call us at 519-824-3091 – or email [email protected].
