Dog stolen off train after owner briefly fell asleep

In Portland, Oregon, Bodhi the dog was stolen from a MAX train on Monday after his owner briefly fell asleep according to the Gresham Police Department. Fortunately, the dog is back safe with his owner after the community banded together to find the adorable pooch.

Bodhi had been dognapped along with the owner’s phone. Concerned neighbors immediately began to pitch in to find the dog and posted photos as well as sharing social media reports and reaching out to local news stations.

A suspect was identified through the MAX surveillance video footage at which time the police were given the information. The suspect was named and police worked with the public for help locating the man. The suspect voluntarily came forward and turned over the dog.

Bodhi’s owner requested the matter be resolved with the suspect rather than an arrest.
