A Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, woman has been charged after a dog was found in a Horry County trash compactor. The Horry County Police Department stated that a tip from the community led to the arrest of 61-year-old Carolyn Zanghi on Friday.
Zanghi is accused of purposely leaving a small dog in a compactor at the Socastee Recycling Center on Jones Road on June 9.
The dog was rescued from the compactor and she is unharmed. The dog was turned over to the Horry County Animal Care Center and is not currently available for adoption.
