On Sunday, five German shepherd puppies were discovered in a rural area of central Washington.

Adams County Pet Rescue stated that the puppies appear to have been abandoned:
Heather was headed home yesterday and found 5 GSD’s about 6 months old that were definitely dropped off as you can see by the pictures. Kaitlyn lives near by so she and Heather were able to wrangle them into crates and get them to the shelter.
The puppies were left to fend for themselves during a heatwave, but they are now safe and will receive the care that they need.

The shelter describes their condition:
They are small and malnourished with their hip bones and vertebrae sticking out. We are already so full that we couldn’t even think of bringing more dogs in but what else could they do last night?
Help
The animal welfare agency is requesting assistance:
The amount of dog food we are going through daily would blow your mind and we anticipate this continuing for quite awhile. Any help would be wonderful and these 5 pups will be going through a lot of food themselves. We’ll share our Amazon list too. https://a.co/66wVFYA

Thank you so much!
