At the West Valley Animal Services in Chatsworth, California, a sweet, blind dog has been scheduled to be euthanized. Chocolate needs someone to help her today.
A volunteer writes:
We don’t know too much about Chocolate, and literally JUST FOUND OUT that she was at-risk. Volunteers at West Valley shelter are doing a Hail Mary for her.

Chocolate is seven-years-old and blind. She is a Bull terrier – but half the size of a full-grown Bull terrier. She is calm, and volunteers state she has a good nose – walks up to you and finds your treats. She is very friendly with humans who go slow with her.

Can a blind-dog-savvy adopter or rescue step up? Chocolate walks around pretty confidently and is fine being groomed (she likes it!). She’s not rescue-only, so adopters please call for this cutie pie!
Shelters in Los Angeles are clearing house in anticipation of the July 4th holiday when a deluge of unwanted, lost and abandoned dogs arrive. According to reports, there are empty crates lined up against the walls and livestock pens are being filled with empty kennels. The optics are both depressing and tragic.
