A sickly pup, who was abandoned in a crate left near a Boston, Massachusetts, cemetery, has been adopted. The puppy, PJ (aka Pickles), was malnourished and infected with the deadly parvovirus when he was found near Mount Hope Cemetery on June 15.
But staff at MSPCA-Nevins Farm in Methuen brought PJ back to good health and after being neutered in early July, he was adopted to a new family. The animal welfare agency said:
PJ is going to a home in Rhode Island with his new owners Richard and Nicole, and their children. He’ll also have another dog to keep him company.
According to the shelter, the case remains under investigation.
