In Center Line, Michigan, a family’s puppy who appeared to have been taken by an Amazon driver, has been returned. It was four very stressful days and nights for the puppy’s owner, but the ending is happy and Mauria is home.
According to Fox News, the very expensive French bulldog named Mauria, had wiggled out of the family’s fenced-in yard. An Amazon driver spotted the puppy, and in a home surveillance video could be seen bending over and picking the puppy up and putting him in the truck, without going around to any of the neighbors asking if someone had lost their beautiful puppy.
After the puppy’s story aired on the news and social media readers started looking for the puppy, the owner received a message from a man who said he got the dog from a friend; an Amazon driver and at the time didn’t realize the puppy already had a home and was missing.
The Center Line police reached out to the person and later in the day returned Mauria to his real home. The family’s five-year-old son was ecstatic the puppy returned home.
There will be no charges against the driver nor the couple who had been given the puppy.
