At the Miami Dade Animal Services in Florida, three-year-old Brutus entered the shelter as a stray in June. When he was picked up by animal control officers, his body was covered with Demodex mange as well as a painful ear infection. And now months later, Brutus is still at the overcrowded shelter and continues to be unnoticed as would-be adopters just walk by.
The shelter staff describes Brutus as being very sweet, and hearts are broken just watching the sad look on his face when everyone just passes him by. His tail barely wags with hope or enthusiasm, and sometimes he doesn’t even bother moving up to the front of his shelter cage to be noticed.
Another plea given 8/19
Pet’s skin is raw.
Pet requires individualized treatment and further diagnosis. At this point pet has received the treatment it can receive at the shelter.
Pet will be blasted for rescue but due ongoing skin condition that seems to be worsening pet requires an outcome ASAP.

This sweet, gorgeous boy is still sitting here months later, and has gone completely unnoticed in this overcrowded shelter. The look on his face is just heartbreaking, and he deserves so much better than this!! This young boy has his whole life ahead of him and would be so grateful to finally get out of this loud, uncomfortable shelter, and into a home of his own with a family who loves him
